Stop N Smell The Roses by Kathryn Lee

Features

ARTIST NOTES: ‘Stop N Smell the Roses’ - Meet Theodore Blu from the Australian Blu family. We're all so busy these days with life, work, families - we sometimes forget to just stand still, breathe, and really 'be' in that moment. I know I do. Theodore, however, has worked out that he needs to enjoy the moment - is that bliss I see on his face? He's one clever koala. Thanks to Gilles Rolland-Monet for his photo inspiration and @insituartroom for the room display. Theodore is created in Watercolour in shades of Blue, Teal, Aqua, Black , Opera Pink and Orange and is on 638gsm Saunders Waterford paper

ARTIST BIO

I am an Australian artist living in Sydney.

My love of colour has taken me on a journey through ceramics, textiles and fibre art, to find my true passion- painting and drawing 🩷💜🩷

Originally working in watercolour, charcoal and inks, I now create most of my art in acrylics on canvas - which means they don't need to be framed.

My work has been exhibited and sold at the Sydney Art Show, Sydney stores, online, and art virtual and live art shows. I enjoy the opportunity to meet my followers in person at these events.

I draw inspiration from Nature and get beautiful florals. I hope you like them

My paintings have been accepted into art shows, art competitions and awards. I was selected to participate in The Australian Watercolour Muster 2021, and invited to take part in the 6th Annual International Salon of Painting at the Menuinda Schneider Gallery in LA. I have also been a featured guest artist on an art website, and my artworks hang in many homes around the world.

I am on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/klkatlee

My aim is to bring affordable, original art within reach of the average Australian family, and to encourage children to experience the joy to be found in creativity.
