ARTIST BIO

I have lived on the Mornington Peninsula all my life and have always enjoyed drawing and painting.  I won my first art show at the age of 10 and sold my first painting at 16. I am a self taught artist and was encouraged at an early age by my mother to explore my creativity. Many of my works are hanging on the walls of family and friends as non paid commissions!

Now that I am retired and have more time on my hands, I am painting and drawing most days. I have been a member on gallery247 since end of January 2019.

I have exhibited and sold my work at various art shows and on Glallery 247. I am enjoying the new medium of chalk pastel and have  recently discovered acrylics which I hope to explore further! Also am having a "go" at watercolour.

Portraits and animals are my main subjects but would like to "have a go" at abstract painting and am currently doing some research by attending galleries and looking on 247 for inspiration and what exactly is a "good" abstract!
